Charles Dyson

Charles Dyson is Associate Director of ROSMY, an organization that serves the LGBTQ+ youth of Central Virginia. Charles manages ROSMY’s Institute for Equality, a training program offering workshops to human service providers and school personnel on effectively working with LGBTQ+ youth. Charles’ past experience includes working at United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg, Equality Virginia (the statewide advocacy group for LGBTQ+ Virginians) and Virginia Tech. Charles has also served on the board of Diversity Richmond.

Collegiate School

This workshop will begin with training about what it means to be LGBTQ, how the population has changed in recent years, and risk factors. We will learn how a school can create an inclusive environment for LGBTQ students. Following the training, we will divide into discussion groups.
